DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Pipeline (3-4 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure resources using services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, and others.

- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK to automate resource provisioning and configuration.

- Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible or Chef to automate the deployment and configuration of infrastructure resources.

- Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration platforms.

- Set up and configure monitoring tools to track the performance and health of systems and applications.

- Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to facilitate collaboration and communication.

- Participate in cross-functional meetings and discussions to align goals, priorities, and project requirements.

Required Skill set :

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or others is crucial.

- Knowledge of version control systems like Git is essential. Understanding software development practices such as Agile methodologies is beneficial.

- Familiarity with tools like Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is important, along with expertise in deploying and managing resources using these platforms.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.

- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, or Nagios for tracking the performance and health of systems and applications. Understanding of logging frameworks like ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for analyzing log data.

- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.

- Knowledge of security best practices and tools for securing infrastructure and applications, such as firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and security compliance standards like GDPR or HIPAA.

- Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with development, operations, and other teams.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex distributed systems.

- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.

- Besides technical skills should possess soft skills like adaptability, teamwork, and a continuous learning mindset. The ability to adapt to changing technologies and work effectively in a fast- paced environment is crucial.
