We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer/Business Analyst to develop and maintain high-quality documentation for our SaaS products while bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing skills and the ability to perform business analysis tasks, creating clear, user-focused materials and requirements that support internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

As a Technical Writer/Business Analyst for our SaaS products, your responsibilities will include:

Technical Writing

1. Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), product managers, and developers to gather comprehensive information about our SaaS products features and functionalities.
2. Creating and maintaining a diverse range of technical documentation, such as:
   • User manuals
   • API guides
   • Integration guides
   • Release notes
   • Troubleshooting articles
3. Crafting clear, concise, and user-friendly content that effectively communicates complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
4. Organizing and structuring information to ensure documentation is easily navigable and searchable.
5. Continuously updating and enhancing existing documentation based on user feedback, product updates, and industry best practices.
6. Conducting thorough research and hands-on testing of the product to gather accurate information and validate its functionality.
7. Developing and maintaining a style guide and documentation standards to ensure consistency and high quality in all documentation.
8. Working closely with the customer support team to understand common customer inquiries and creating self-service documentation to address these issues.
9. Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all customer-facing materials.
10. Staying informed about the latest industry trends and best practices in technical writing and SaaS documentation to consistently improve documentation quality.

Business Analysis

1. Preparing detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD) , Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS/FSD) , and System Requirement Documents (SRD) .
2. Creating use case diagrams, process flows, and mockups to support business and technical requirements.
3. Liaising between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
4. Assisting in wireframe and mockup creation to visualize requirements when needed.
5. Analyzing user feedback and operational data to identify gaps and improve documentation and processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Experience:
   • Minimum of 6-7 years in technical writing, specifically for SaaS-based products.
   • Proven experience in business analysis and documentation.
2. Education:
   • Bachelor s degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
3. Technical Skills:
   • Strong understanding of SaaS domains and software development concepts.
   • Proficiency with tools such as Madcap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, Visio, Lucidchart, Figma, or similar.
   • Knowledge of markup languages (XML, HTML, CSS).
4. Communication Skills:
   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
5. Professionalism:
   • High degree of professionalism and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
6. Other Skills:
   • Experience in creating and managing style guides and documentation standards.
   • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Trello
