PL-SQL Developer - Database Design (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to implement complex business logic, data integration and workflow processes.

- Utilize Python to build robust data processing and analytics tools, integrating with data storage.

- Ensure data integrity and quality through the implementation of data checks, balances, and validation techniques.

- Perform database tuning and performance optimization to ensure smooth application performance.

- Develop and maintain scalable and efficient Python applications and services.

- Implement data security and protection measures.

- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and architectures using PL/SQL and Python.

- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

-Troubleshoot and debug PL/SQL and Python code, identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these problems.

- Create and maintain documentation for database designs, codebase, and APIs.

- Collaborate with all stakeholders in organisation to understand data needs and deliver solutions that empower data-driven decision-making.

- Mentor junior data engineers and developers, promoting best practices in data engineering and software development.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and techniques in data engineering and recommend improvements to our technology stack and processes.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in PL/SQL and Python development.

Preferred Skills :

- Expertise in database design, development, and optimization, particularly with Postgres Database.

- Proficient in Python, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).

- Additional benefits if had experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow or anyone).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.

- Additional benefits if has experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra or any).

- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik).

- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
