We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr Platform Engineer to join our Supply Chain Technology team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in both designing and maintaining our IT infrastructure and platforms, as well as working with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure the scalability and reliability of our Supply Chain systems. This hybrid role requires a strong technical background in automation, systems engineering, and Supply Chain systems management, with a focus on stability, scalability, and future growth.Key Responsibilities: Design, Implement, and Maintain IT Platforms: Participate in the design, build, and maintenance of a diverse IT platform ecosystem, including applications, servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments, ensuring cost-effectiveness, scalability, and high availability. Supply Chain Systems Management: Collaborate closely with the IT department to understand requirements and future state objectives, developing solutions that promote stability and support Medlines future growth. Change Management: Review and coordinate change activities across vendors and internal teams to ensure strict adherence to process and quality expectations. Application and Platform Monitoring: Monitor system performance, identify potential issues or bottlenecks, and optimize systems for efficiency, security, and reliability. Experience in using tools like datadog ,AppD ,DYnatrace ,and others for visibility into performace of applications and platforms Experience with platform operations like upgrade /configure for devops ,testing ,lo-code,automation etc. tools Comfortable working with APIs and related tools and services like WSO2 and StopLight Troubleshooting and Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for platform and Supply Chain-related incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution and escalating higher-tier issues when needed. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices across IT platforms, ensuring compliance with ITGC standards Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with development, automation, and operations teams for seamless integration of platform services. Document all solutions using standard SDLC templates and maintain accurate records of platform configurations and processes. Continuous Improvement: Proactively evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices to improve platform and Supply Chain system reliability, performance, and scalability. Contribute to Organizational Success: Proactively communicate deliverable status to team leads and project managers, ensure obstacles are escalated when necessary, and take ownership of skill development.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Overall 5+ years of experience in IT 3+ years of Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or Systems Analyst, preferably in logistics or supply chain. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins), scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell), cloud platforms, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles. 3+ years experience with Dev automation tools and platforms Experience with SAP, WMS, or other supply chain/logistics systems Experience with SQL queries, and Unix/Windows scripting. Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work productively with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools like Appdynamics, Solarwinds,Dynatrace etc Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
