A Helpdesk professional is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users who are experiencing computer software, hardware, or network-related problems. The following is a typical job description for a Helpdesk Associate : Responsibilities : 1. Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person in a timely and professional manner. 2. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, and network-related issues. 3. Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support personnel and follow up with end-users to ensure timely resolution. 4. Set up and configure new computer systems and software applications. 5. Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment and software and ensure that they are up-to-date. 6. Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures. 7. Install, update, and maintain antivirus software and security patches to ensure the security of IT systems and data. 8. Monitor and maintain the Helpdesk ticketing system to ensure that all issues are being addressed in a timely manner. Requirements : 1. Experience in providing technical support to end-users in a Helpdesk environment. 2. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, and network-related issues. 3. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical end-users. 4. Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems. 5. Good time-management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
