Senior Product Manager, Data & AI Platform

• We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Platform Product Manager for our Data and AI Platform
• The ideal candidate will be the driver of our strategy, development and growth to wrangle and transform complex data ready to facilitate integrations, surface enlightening insights and actionable intelligence
• Your primary objective is to lead the creation and optimization of our data infrastructure and AI capabilities, ensuring they empower both our internal stakeholders, partners, and clients to drive the overall strategic goals of the organization
• You will own and define a roadmap for Medallia s data and AI platform services
• You will operate at the nexus of product innovation, customer need, and technical feasibility
• This includes assessing and making appropriate recommendations where we should build/buy/partner for our tools, infrastructure and frameworks for developing, deploying, and managing data strategy for artificial intelligence and machine learning applications
• You will guide a multidisciplinary team across departments, ensuring the platform is innovative, reliable, and aligned with Medallias mission to personalize every experience
• Your expertise will drive the evolution of both data infrastructure and AI capabilities, integrating cutting-edge technologies and optimizing for usability and performance

Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy and delivery of Medallias Data and AI Platform as part of our Experience Platform, focusing on scalable infrastructure, data entity definition, AI/ML frameworks, and seamless integration with internal and external applications
• Spearhead the development of advanced AI/ML frameworks and model serving infrastructure, leveraging technologies like AutoML, distributed training, and edge AI to enhance platform capabilities
• Collaborate with data engineering to design efficient data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature engineering pipelines, enhancing the AI platform s data lifecycle
• Ensure the implementation of data governance frameworks, promoting data quality and consistency across systems
• Define and manage a 12+ month feature roadmap, balancing long-term vision with immediate priorities and value creation
• Engage with cross-functional teams, including PM, Design, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment
• Support cross-functional work with other teams such as executives, sales, product marketing, and customer success to ensure their objectives are met, inputs and feedback are considered, and plans communicated
• Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in science, engineering or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of product management experience focused on data, analytics, and AI/ML products and services or 7+ years of experience in data, analytics, and AI/ML products and services
• Demonstrated experience building, launching, and scaling enterprise-grade data platform solutions
• Demonstrated understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
• Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional company initiatives across multiple departments

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct and hands-on experience bringing enterprise data platforms and/or AI/ML products to the market from ideation to shipping the capabilities
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including data modeling, entity definition, and metadata management
• Proven experience implementing data governance frameworks and data quality assurance processes, ensuring consistent, reliable, and compliant data management practices
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks that support advanced analytics capabilities, including data pipelines and model management
• Experience with a Customer Experience Management Platform
• Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with tools such as Productboard and JIRA
