Please Note:

Overall Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience of 5+ years in IT Services / Consulting industry

  • Must be available to work in US EST time zone (3 AM IST)
  • This is 100% REMOTE / Work from Home opportunity.
  • This is NOT a people management role and more focused on overall Proposal Management / and Solution Writing / Editing

Responsibilities:


1. Proposal Writing and Editing:

  • This is very hands on role. The right candidate must possess the passion for creating exceptional proposals.
  • Write, edit, and review proposal content to ensure it is clear, compelling, and tailored to the client's needs.
  • Ensure that the proposal adheres to the prescribed format, guidelines, and compliance requirements.

2. Proposal Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end proposal development process, from the initial request for proposal through submission.
  • Analyze and evaluate client requirements and documents (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) to understand the scope, objectives, and evaluation criteria of the project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, solution architects, subject matter experts, and legal teams, to gather information and develop a winning proposal.

3. Bid Strategy:

  • Develop a comprehensive bid strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and customer needs.
  • Identify the unique selling points and value propositions to be highlighted in the proposal.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.

4. Budgeting and Pricing:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure that the proposed pricing is competitive while maintaining profitability.

5. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the bid and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Address legal, contractual, and compliance issues to minimize potential liabilities.

6. Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain a bid schedule and project plan to ensure that all deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and track the progress of various bid-related tasks and activities.

7. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct quality reviews of the proposal to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Seek feedback from internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to refine the proposal.

8. Presentation and Defense:

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients as needed, showcasing the company's capabilities and proposal.

9. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain a central repository of proposal-related documents, templates, and historical data.
  • Generate reports on bid outcomes, including win-loss analysis and lessons learned.

10. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Continuously improve the bid management process and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Bid Manager in IT Services / Consulting / Software Development Industry setting.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, bid management, in the IT Services / software industry.
  • Experience with US State or Federal government proposals is highly desired.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and technologies.
  • Familiarity with legal and contractual aspects of proposals.
