Purchase - Senior Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vendor Management & Negotiation:
   
• Prepare and review comparative statements to evaluate supplier offers.
• Conduct preliminary negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Propose Purchase Orders (P.O.) for approval based on the negotiation outcomes.
• Review and compare supplier quotes to ensure the best value for the company.

2. Procurement Activities:

• Float enquiries to suppliers and receive quotes.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive costs and favorable contracts.
• Develop and maintain a market intelligence system to track and analyze price trends and supplier performance.

3. Vendor Registration & Communication:

• Handle the registration process of new vendors.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with both suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.

4. SAP and Purchasing Procedures:

• Use SAP MM (Material Management) module for procurement activities and ensure all transactions are entered accurately and on time.
• Ensure adherence to the companys purchasing procedures and policies for all procurement activities.

5. Supplier Performance & Contracts:

• Conduct yearly performance evaluations of suppliers to assess quality, delivery, and service.
• Negotiate and manage annual rate contracts with vendors to ensure consistency in pricing and terms.

6. Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines and procedures.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and market trends as required.
