Assess the source data and Symphony tounderstand data structures, formats, and requirements.
Identify potential data quality issues anddiscrepancies that may need resolution.
Data Mapping:
Create data mapping documents that define howdata elements in the source system correspond to the Symphony.
Ensure that data transformation rules are clearand well-documented.
Data Extraction:
Extract data from source systems using relevanttools or scripts.
Verify data accuracy during the extractionprocess.
Data Transformation:
Apply necessary data transformations to ensuredata is compatible with the Symphony.
Handle data cleansing, formatting, andenrichment as required.
Data Loading:
Load the transformed data into the Symphony,maintaining data integrity.
Monitor and troubleshoot data loading processes,resolving any issues that arise.
Data Validation:
Develop and execute data validation scripts orprocesses to verify the accuracy of migrated data.
Identify and rectify any data discrepancies.
Testing:
Participate in testing activities, includinguser acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure that data migration processes meetbusiness requirements.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of data migrationactivities, including data mapping, transformation rules, and validationresults.
Create and update documentation for futurereference.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams,including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure asmooth data migration process.
Troubleshooting:
Assist in identifying and resolving data-relatedissues that may arise during the migration process.
Qualificationsand Skills:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such ascomputer science, information technology, or data management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of data migration concepts andtools.
Familiarity with database management systems(DBMS) and SQL. (preferred)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to workmethodically.
Basic understanding of data security andprivacy.
Adaptability and a willingness to learn newtechnologies and concepts.
Time management and organizational skills tomeet project deadlines.
