Role & responsibilities

• Precise refraction and accurate diagnosis
• Clear and precise case sheet documentation
• Patient Satisfaction by good and transparent communication and services
• To diagnose all patients on vision, eye diseases, vision disorder
• To do all diagnostic on equipments in the hospitals under proper clinical protocol
• To record proper case details legibly and as per the clinical protocol
• To participate in outreach programs and academic events
• To volunteer in clinical/surgical emergencies
• To maintain the equipments and accessories under possession with utmost care and self responsibility
• To assist all specialty clinics in rotation
• To start up and shut down the equipment required for specialty clinics and assist the doctor
• To coordinate with doctors in patient care and procedures
• To volunteer in internal scientific sessions, training programs and as faculty for optometry institute
• To manage optical sales in rotation
• To manage contact lenses clinic in rotation
• To counsel the patients or relieve the counsellor in case where required
• To coordinate with the counsellor regarding IOL lenses for surgery patients and to give the requisition to Centre Head as per requirement.
• Daily OP Report
• Optical prescription Report
• Contact lens advises, booking and dispensing report
• Checks the cleanliness in the optometry rooms
• Checks the optometry equipments and , in case of any problem immediately informs the Centre Head
• Goes to the reception and checks the appointment register and makes special arrangements, if required, for the appointed procedures.
• During the OPD follow the instructions as per the OPD process/ procedure manual
• Gives daily OP report to Centre head in the evening
