Finance Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:
• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (Indian GAAP, IFRS, etc.), taxation laws, and hospital industry regulations.
• Supervise the preparation of financial statements and audit preparations.
• Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, and ensure timely collection and payment procedures.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Develop, implement, and maintain hospital-wide budgeting processes.
• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize operational costs and financial performance.
• Analyze variances between budgeted and actual financial performance.
• Cost Control & Financial Planning:
• Monitor and manage operating costs, including but not limited to clinical, administrative, and operational costs.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis for hospital services, equipment, and infrastructure investments.
• Implement cost-cutting measures without compromising service quality.
• Revenue Management:
• Oversee revenue generation activities, including billing, reimbursement, and insurance claims.
• Ensure accurate coding and proper documentation for insurance and third-party claims.
• Track and monitor the payer mix and assess collection efforts.
• Cash Flow Management:
• Implement strategies to improve cash flow and working capital management.
• Monitor patient billing, payment collections, and supplier payments to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
• Team Management:
• Lead a team of finance professionals and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Provide guidance and training to junior finance staff.
• Conduct performance reviews and set goals for the finance team.
• Internal Controls & Audits:
• Strengthen internal control procedures to safeguard hospital assets.
• Coordinate with external auditors for periodic audits and regulatory reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare finance-related regulations and guidelines.
• Strategic Financial Support:
• Assist senior management in strategic decision-making with financial insights and recommendations.
• Participate in long-term financial planning, including expansion plans, funding, and investment evaluations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
