Job Description

Summary:


The position is responsible for overall sales Cardio and Access Products in his / her assigned area which includes ensuring achievement of secondary sales target, developing business, and maintaining relationships with key customers (i.e. surgeons, hospital management, purchase, etc.) and other key stakeholders in the area. The position supports sales planning, demand forecasting as well as marketing and promotional initiatives for the area.


INDICATIVE KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAs):


- Achieve Product-wise Secondary Sales for Cardio & Access in the area as per Target


- Undertake market development initiatives for Cardio & Access in the area


- Ensure reporting and closure of customers issues as per timelines


- Ensure target participation in events, training programs, and other activities for KOL engagement, related to Cardio & Access in the area


Key Responsibilities:


- To guide the team in business development efforts; intervene and provide support to convert critical / complex business opportunities


- To undertake first level discussions with the potential customers for business development


- To seek support from Distribution Manager and distributors, for identification and conversion of opportunities into business, as required


Sales Planning and Execution:


- To support in the development of monthly and quarterly plans for secondary sales for the area, in alignment with the revenue targets for the region, with inputs from Regional Sales Manager (Cardio / Access)


- To achieve secondary sales target for - Cardio & Access in the assigned area, in line with the sales plan, through the team


- To undertake price negotiations as per the prescribed price limits defined by the Regional Sales Manager (Cardio / Access); in case of variations in prices, seek requisite approval from reporting manager


- To ensure samples are sent to the customers as per requirements and priority, post requisite approvals


- To monitor and maintain accounts receivables within prescribed limits. To follow-up for payments from customers, as required


- To track the performance of the area on an on-going basis and analyse reports; provide inputs for corrective actions for improvements in sales performance and initiate these within own are Tenders and Rate Contracts


- To ensure regular tracking of tenders in the area


- To coordinate with the Business Coordinator for preparation of response to tenders and requisite approvals and ensure timely submission of response to tenders


- To follow-up with the identified stakeholders to track the status post submission of response to tender


- To coordinate with the Business Coordinator for preparation of Rate Contracts and other agreements, and requisite approvals. To undertake first level review of these agreements to ensure that all requirements are adequately captured


Key Relationship Management:


- To build and maintain strong customer relationships with key customers / influencers in the area, like Surgeons, Administration, Purchase Heads, Finance Department, Hospital Management, etc. to drive business development and sales target


- To provide inputs to the Medical Affairs Team in designing and execution of training programs for customers; To coordinate with Medical Affairs Team and key customers for the start-up, maintenance and expansion of product-wise educational courses and forums


- To ensure prompt resolution of customer queries and issues; To provide support for resolution of critical/ sensitive issues


- To report customer complaints from the assigned area to Regulatory Affairs, Government Affairs & Quality Assurance Function and follow up for resolution of customer complaints


- To build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry such as local licensing offices, municipal corporation, other government departments and officials, etc. to gather market intelligence and to drive smooth sales operations in the area


- To seek support from Regulatory Affairs, Government Affairs & Quality Assurance


Must Have: 3-4 years in Medical Devices or Approx. 5 to 7 years of experience in customer facing sales role Pharmaceutical industry
