Job Description
- Perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist Physicians in performing complex operations in the OT.
III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
- To demonstrate quality care for patients in the OT.
- To set up OT and equipment prior to each procedure & orientation of patient to OT.
- To assist the Surgeon in performing well in the OT.
- To assist with post operation monitoring of patient before shifting the patient to ICU or ward.
- To maintain safe work practices with respect to infection control and radiation safety.
- To attend to emergencies during and after working hours.
- To carry out regular calibration of laboratory equipment and regular maintenance.
- To provide technical guidance, assistance and instruction to employees; train new personnel.
- To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.
- To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
- To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
- To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
- To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area
- To Comply with patient safety policy
- To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.
IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Measurable Deliverables
- Ensures OT is in high state of readiness at all times / No case to be delayed due to non preparedness by the technician.
- Maintains and monitors adequate stock of materials and their optimal use.
- Ensures minimum downtime of all equipment in OT.
- Ensures high level of infection control standards (100% compliance)
- O.T. sterility checks to be ok as
- 100% compliance with documentation to be done by technician
V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician course . Preferably with B.Sc.
Experience
- 0 - 3 years experience as a fully qualified Operation Theatre Technician.
(Physical requirement As per the policy Employee should clear the Pre Employee Check Up)
Technical Skills
- Well versed in Digital technology
- Knowledge of endoscopes.
- Good knowledge of machine upkeep and Inventory management.
- Anesthesia machine & technique knowledge.
- Sterility techniques
Behavioural Skills
- High level of communication and coordination. Sound Health.
- Self motivated
Language Skills
- English
- Hindi
