Database Administrator (2-7 yrs)

Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site role as a part of team supporting large data platform transformation exercise. Opportunity to move to Data Science team.

Technical requirements :

- DBA knowledge and experience, doesn't need to be an expert DBA, but should know and have some exposure and experience.

- Understanding existing stored procedures and extracting the logic from them

- Expertise in data modeling methodologies for both relational and NoSQL databases.

- Familiarity with financial domain concepts and data modeling tools.

- Experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, and data schema management.

Cross Functional skills :

- They should have familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD practices, security, data privacy, and compliance standards relevant to financial data and trading platforms.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an Agile development framework.

- AWS preferred

Attitude :

- Curiosity to learn and adapt with changing needs.

- Ability to pick up new concepts and learn new methodologies.

- Can do attitude.

Other (Good to have skills) :

- Understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka) for building event-driven systems.

- Knowledge of other programming languages - some exposure is good, but not necessary.

- Coding skills like Python would be a HUGE plus
