Job Description

We at Mastroke are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in editing and assembling raw footage into seamless, high-quality videos that align with project goals. This role requires close collaboration with the creative team, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt content for various platforms and formats.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit and assemble raw footage into a cohesive final product, ensuring a seamless flow, pacing, and visual impact.

Work closely with the creative team to understand project requirements and contribute ideas to enhance video quality.

Incorporate appropriate music, sound effects, and visual effects to elevate the overall viewing experience.

Apply color correction and grading techniques to achieve desired visual aesthetics and maintain project consistency.

Edit and tailor videos for different platforms and optimize content for each format, such as social media, websites, and presentations.

Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Organize video assets, maintain a proper file structure, and ensure easy access for future use.

Collaborate with post-production team members, including motion graphics artists and graphic designers, to ensure seamless integration of all elements.

Qualifications:

Proven experience of 2+ years as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio or showreel.

Must have Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Experience in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus.

Solid understanding of video editing techniques, storytelling, transitions, and visual effects, color correction, grading, and audio editing techniques.

Familiarity with video formats, codecs, and compression settings for various platforms.

Ability to tailor content for digital platforms, including social media.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to project requirements.

Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Understanding of copyright and licensing regulations related to video and music assets.

bachelors degree in film production, multimedia, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
