Job Description
Role:
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Battery & Battery Management System Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Define HEV/EV Battery Management System (BMS) architecture.
- Define Electrical System Architecture
- Requirement engineering of Battery (Spec. Determination) & BMS
- BMS functions and software. Control algorithms such as battery controls, battery SOC, SOH estimations, cell balancing, battery life optimization, safety related controls, configuration of BMS, cell characterization, energy calculation, thermal management
- Work with HEV/EV system team to identify the BMS electrical interfaces, calibration and testing team to generate battery system DVP
- ISO 26262 compliance for BMS, DFMEA
- Adopt model based design approach in BMS
- BMS Controls Software Verification and Validation
- Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking
- Coordination with other design departments/ suppliers & related agencies for design and development Activities
