Job Overview:
The Marketing Research Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing market research initiatives to support strategic marketing decisions.
This role requires an individual with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of delivering actionable insights that influence marketing strategies, product development, and business operations.
The Marketing Research Manager will lead research projects, analyze consumer trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance the company's competitive positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive market research strategies to support the company's marketing, sales, and product development teams.
- Identify and prioritize key research topics that align with business objectives and customer needs.
Data Collection & Analysis:
- Design and manage surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights that influence marketing strategies and decision-making processes.
Customer & Market Insights:
- Conduct consumer segmentation, brand tracking, and competitive analysis to provide a deeper understanding of target audiences and market dynamics.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, and provide insights on new market opportunities.
Reporting & Presentation of Findings:
- Present research findings in clear, actionable formats to senior leadership, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Use data visualization tools and presentations to communicate research results effectively.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, sales, and customer service teams to translate research findings into strategic actions.
- Provide market intelligence that supports campaign development, product launches, and brand positioning.
Research Tools & Techniques:
- Leverage advanced research tools and platforms (e.g., SPSS, Tableau, Google Analytics) to gather and analyze data efficiently.
- Stay updated with the latest research techniques, tools, and industry trends to ensure the use of best practices.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, and deliverables are accurate and insightful.
- Coordinate with external vendors or research agencies when necessary, ensuring the quality and relevance of the research.
Budget Management:
- Oversee the research budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining research quality and standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g, in market research) is a plus.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in market research, with a focus on marketing, consumer behavior, or business research.
- Proven track record of managing research projects from start to finish, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in using data analytics tools and research platforms.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g.,, Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software (e.g.,, SPSS, R).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable manner.
