3i infotech - Manual Test Engineer - STLC Process (3-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze software requirements and user stories to identify test cases and scenarios.

- Design and develop comprehensive test plans, covering functional, non-functional, and regression testing.

- Execute test cases thoroughly and identify potential defects.

- Document test execution results and prepare detailed test reports.

- Log and track identified defects in a bug tracking system (Jira, Bugzilla).

- Provide clear and concise defect reports with reproducible steps.

- Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.

- Perform database testing using PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity and consistency.

- Design and execute test cases covering database functionalities and queries.

- Participate in UAT activities to validate software meets user requirements.

- Provide feedback to development teams based on user experience.

Technical Skills :

- Utilize Linux Operating System for basic test automation scripting (optional, but a plus).

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Other Responsibilities :

- Maintain test documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

- Stay updated on the latest testing trends and tools.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Interact effectively with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide testing updates.

Qualifications :

- Experience in client interaction is mandatory

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (B.Tech./MCA) or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 2+ years of experience as a Manual Test Engineer or similar role.

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Experience with test case design, execution, and reporting techniques.

- Proficiency in bug tracking tools and test management tools.

- Working knowledge of database testing using PostgreSQL.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client interaction.
