Role & responsibilities
Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards and customer requirements.
Monitor and audit production processes to ensure the products meet defined specifications and standards.
Lead and facilitate root cause analysis for any quality issues arising in the manufacturing process.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring problems and ensure production line efficiency.
Ensure that the manufacturing processes comply with relevant industry standards (such as IPC, ISO 9001, or other applicable standards).
Keep updated on regulatory requirements and ensure the team follows them during production and process improvements.
Train the manufacturing team on quality control procedures and best practices.
Implement quality improvement programs and workshops to upskill employees in quality management processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing manufacturing performance, process deviations, and customer feedback.
Use data-driven approaches like Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to improve product quality and reduce waste.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to quality, such as failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Ensure that potential quality risks are identified and managed throughout the production lifecycle.
Monitor the cost of quality-related activities, such as defect resolution, warranty claims, and scrap.
Drive initiatives to reduce the cost of poor quality while maintaining high standards in industrial automation projects
Preferred candidate profile
Candidate with 10 years and above in EMS industry can apply
Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (like ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
Proven experience in quality assurance in manufacturing
Familiarity with relevant industry standards (like IPC for electronics, safety regulations).
Experience in leading quality teams and working across departments.
Ability to guide and train employees on quality standards.
Familiarity with quality control tools (like FMEA, root cause analysis, SPC).
Experience using software for quality tracking and reporting.
