Job Description:

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, or a related field.

. Minimum of 3 years of experience as manager in STP/WTP operations and management.

• Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee a team of maintenance staff effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience in operating and maintaining advanced water treatment technologies.
• Certifications in wastewater treatment plant operations.

• Familiarity with green technologies and sustainable water management practices.

• Skills in budget planning and cost control to manage maintenance expenses effectively.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external vendors.

Roles and Responsibilities of a Building Maintenance Manager in an Academic University:

The STP Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of all Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Biogas plants, RO plants, and water management systems at KL University to ensure efficient and sustainable water and wastewater management.

Additional information: The STP/WTP Manager is responsible for:

• Plant Operations and Maintenance: Manage daily operations, conduct inspections, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of STP, Biogas, RO plants, and related systems.

• Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain accurate records of plant performance, effluent discharge, and water quality.
