Manager - Costing (MENA)

Main Purpose of Job

Provide support and expertise in the area of Manufacturing & Distribution cost / costing analysis. Undertake complex and critical research, interpret the results of analysis and provide alternatives recommendations for further consideration.

Responsibilities

Compliance:

• Custodian for Costing Standards for Manufacturing and Distribution and compliance in the market
• Develop and validate best practices, implementation of new functionality, tools and solutions
• Guidance and support on costing processes to Factories, Business Units & Clusters

Reporting:

• PEC Activities on COGS, FFOH, Depreciation, Variance Analysis & presentations for NiM reviews
• Follow CMS and associated standard operating procedures when generating financial documents and performing daily activities

Variance Analysis:

• Business wise variance analysis after PEC
• Resolution of escalated queries from Business (post factories, CCC)

Business Planning:

• Coordinate and provide inputs for budgeting, planning and dynamic forecast at Business level.
• This requires continuous involvement and awareness of current situation in order to discern feasibility of inputs.
• Active participation in Standard Cost Budget, Revision and Replacement Cost calculations as required. (COGS, FFOH, Depreciation, PROH Line)

Ensure compliance to Cost Accounting Report Rules and Cost Audit Rules (issue procedure, guidelines, planning across all locations)

Ensure Adherence to Transfer Prices Guidelines for export to and import from affiliates. Timely updation of Purchase Info Records for imported materials

E2E understanding of P&L and ensure timely updation of exports profitability to Cluster Finance

Leads and Head of Tax ensuring minimum profit commitment is achieved

Back up for other roles within the team, Eg. : Stock Margin computation

Collaborate with COC for implementation of tools, best practices and projects in the market

Support during Statutory Audit

NCE Pillar: Drive usage of problem-solving tolls & improvement methodologies in the team

Decision Support: Enhance transparency in allocations in line with ABC, approval of commodity prices, forecasting, scenario planning

NBV: Coordination of NBV at Factory and allocation to the product

Knowledge Transfer: Sessions on CSM to Factory Costing Teams/Business Analyst.

KPI Tracking: Prepare and publish financial KPI on a regular basis; perform analysis of KPI data and transfer this knowledge of the key figures to the relevant stakeholders in order to promote understanding.

Qualifications

• CMA/CA
• 3-5 years Prior experience in Accounting or Costing, ideally within a factory preferable
• Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
• Prior Exposure to SAP FICO/CO Module
• Expertise in Excel
• Proficiency in English
