Sr. Linux Admin

• Install, upgrade, and maintain Linux based systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud.
• Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud.
• Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions on on-prem as well as Azure Cloud.
• Ensure systems always comply with security policies, including vulnerability assessment, patching, and hardening.
• Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties and management.
• Manage system changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
• Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability.
• Proactive capacity planning and report to Management
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
• 8+ years of Linux Admin experience in RedHat, CentOS and Ubuntu
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• VMware Certified Technical Associate - Data Center Virtualization
• ITIL Foundation certified.
