Social Media Specialist

Job Overview:

Malabar Gold & Diamonds, a global leader in the jewelry industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Social Media Executive to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the social media strategy for Malabar Gold & Diamonds across India, with a focus on building brand awareness, engagement, and driving online sales. This role requires a creative, data-savvy individual with a deep understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing trends, and the ability to craft compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences.

Job Type: Full Time WFO

Working days: Monday to Saturday (9 Hours)

Location: Andheri MIDC

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Strategy & Execution:
  
• Develop and execute innovative social media strategies across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) to align with business goals and objectives.
• Manage content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely posting of engaging content.
• Identify and leverage emerging trends, hashtags, and relevant cultural moments to increase brand visibility and engagement.

• Content Creation & Management:
  
• Create high-quality, engaging, and creative content (images, videos, posts, etc.) tailored for various platforms.
• Collaborate with the design and content teams to ensure the brands visual identity and messaging are consistently represented.

• Community Management:
  
• Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and manage online reputation.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and community partners.

• Campaign Management:
  
• Plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns (organic and paid) to support product launches, seasonal promotions, and brand initiatives.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to integrate social media efforts with other digital marketing activities such as SEO, SEM, and email campaigns.

• Analytics & Reporting:
  
• Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics and KPIs (engagement, reach, conversions, etc.).
• Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, improve performance, and present monthly/quarterly reports to management.

• Brand Advocacy:
  
• Ensure all social media activities align with Malabar Gold & Diamonds' brand voice, values, and tone.
• Be an advocate for the brand, promoting its story, values, and unique selling propositions to target audiences.

• Collaboration & Coordination:
  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, customer service, and product teams to align social media activities with broader business goals.
• Manage and liaise with external agencies or vendors when required for specific campaigns or projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably within the retail, luxury, advertisement and jewelry sectors.
• Proven track record of successful social media campaigns and community management.
• Skills & Expertise:
• Deep understanding of all major social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
• Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
• Familiarity with paid social media advertising, targeting, and optimization.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
