Estimation and Proposal Engineer (For Chennai Office)

Role & responsibilities

Job summary:

1. Look after Oil and gas Combustion Equipment package, (Take care of complete mechanical design, Welding Inspection, Site & Installation team coordination)

2. Review and analyze request for proposals (RFPs), request for quotations (RFQs), Invitation to tender (ITT) and other client requirements.

3. Preparation of detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other resources related expenses.

4. Interpret and analyze tender documents, project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

5. Preparation of datasheets for mechanical equipments (Pumps, Blowers, Valves, Filter press, Pressure vessels, and Statics Equipments) based on tender specification.

6. Design of Pressure Vessels & Stacks, using international Codes and standards.

7. Preparation, reviewing engineering drawings and loading data.

1. Preparation, reviewing of Foundation Layouts.

2. Selection of material based on service requirements.

3. Evaluate the vendor data sheets & GA Drawings and prepare the documents for client submission.

4. Purchase Requisition creation and release for Mechanical equipment.

5. Preparation of valve schedule.

6. Piping design (Process piping-ASME B 31.3), Selection and sizing of pipes, & valves.

7. Reviewing of Piping layout & Isometric piping drawings as per P&ID.

8. Preparation of Technical Queries (TQ), Request for Vendors (RFQ) / Material Requisition.

9. Carrying out technical bid evaluation and analysis of bids from multiple vendors for technical details and compliance to complete scope of supply.

10. Material Take-off for skids / packages, etc. and preparing cost estimation sheets.

11. Preparation of Static, Piping, Structural and Instrument MTO/BOM, for Packages with provided input and hook-up drawings.

12. Preparation of Skid GA, Platform detail drawings & Lifting Arrangement for Skids, Preparation of Fabrication drawings, Transportation drawings for Pressure Vessels, Reviewing of Pressure Vessel Design calculation and drawings.

13. Close TQs/TBEs with client and complete estimation based on closed TQs.

HSE Responsibility:

1. Lead the business unit on HSE.

2. Participate in regular HSE inspections at sites and enhance the safety culture of team members.

3. Ensure HSE standards are maintained and implemented for departments activities.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 12 years related experience and minimum 7 years experience Estimation& Proposal writing with good knowledge of design and detail engineering of Combustion Equipment & skid detail engineering & modular skids, packaging for Oil & Gas.

2. Combustion Equipment Design and detail engineering. Design of pumping station, Detail Engineering of Static & Rotating Equipment's ❖ Data sheet & Valve schedule Preparation ❖ Mechanical GA Drawing, Equipment layout preparation & Process piping.

3. Knowledge in international codes and standards like API-537, API-521 & API-637& ASME.

4. Engineering background or a related role.

5. Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations.

6. Knowledge in contract processing, contract management.
