Job Purpose
Reporting to Head - Planning, Governance & Omnichannel Outreach, this position is responsible for leading annual budget planning for India Rx business, tracking monthly business progress, holding governance mechanism, identifying improvement areas, thereby closely working with business (sales & marketing), commercial excellence, India finance
The Lead will work closely with Head - Planning, Governance & Omnichannel Outreach to identify strategic priorities with business and develop innovative GTM models, including partnerships/ alliances with other stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem to drive physician and patient engagement and bringing solutions to improve operational efficiencies within the organization.
Assist the broader business function in management and implementation of strategic initiatives and key organizational projects
Key Accountabilities (1/6)
Business Intelligence
- Review routine reports (analysing financials, releasing sales flash, working capital, product wise profitability, quarterly estimates etc.) analyse trends and recommends adjustment address and capitalize on trends.
- Assess health of India Business and its operations on parameters like sales performance, marketing effectiveness, supply and forecasting, budgetary controls, sales force effectiveness and HR health
- Monitor market development, competitor behaviour and garner therapy specific insights and identify opportunity areas for the division
- Assess and track external reflections of the business
- Track performance metrics and governance for the BU, with speedy resolution of issues
- Preparation for the Monthly / Quarterly reviews in liaison with the broader teams
- Engage in various Cross Functional Projects / work groups, in various capacities, as per business needs and organisational Priorities
- Liaise with external stakeholders like agencies, management consultants etc. for addressing business issues and building organizational capabilities
Key Accountabilities (2/6)
Governance Mechanism
- Hold the governance and compliance of IB Headâs office reviews and deliverables â monthly sales planning, business calls, monthly IBLT governance, business reviews, global reviews, board meeting preparations, reflections, NI and PPP reviews, CXO updates, townhalls
- Understand the information/ knowledge needs of the stakeholders and proactively drive analysis to deliver guidance, recommendations and insights for business decisions. Liaise with business teams and leverage cross functional and cross franchise information
- Ensure dashboards, tools and frameworks are in place for periodical reviews to monitor progress and make course corrections as required
- Provide intelligence to the IB Head for monthly performance review across clusters and divisions
- Market assessment of the assigned division w.r.t. portfolio and business excellence
- Track performance metrics and governance for the BU, with speedy resolution of issues
- Track and update the action areas for the IB Head and other relevant stakeholders

Key Projects
- Lead tactical and strategic projects to support the business goals (financial, quality, operational efficiencies, market share, etc.)
- Drive key cross functional projects with the focus for achieving the organizational objectives.
- Engage in various Cross Functional Projects / work groups, in various capacities, as per business needs and organisational Priorities
- Conduct project meetings with teams regularly to review project deliverables and timelines
- Create and maintains project schedules by developing project plans and specification, estimating time requirements, establishing timelines, monitoring milestone completion, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project process, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts
- Liaise with external stakeholders like agencies, management consultants etc. for addressing business issues and building organisational capabilities

Strategy Refresh & Budget Planning
- To study competition, market trends, industry trends, regulatory aspects and macroeconomic parameters specific to India Markets
- Analyse, evaluate and recommend strategic initiatives across BUs for organizational growth
- Work on the organizationâs LTSP (Long term strategic planning)
- Lead India level budget planning for the next financial year
- Lead management of growth targets, regular tracking, and identifying key gaps
Key Accountabilities (5/6)
Identify and close disruptive partnership opportunities in the healthcare ecosystem to drive differential physician and patient engagement initiatives
- Map various alternate healthcare formats emerging in the system â home care, diagnostics, e-pharmacies, data aggregators, specialized chains, patient support programs etc.
- Identify business opportunities for Cipla to engage with providers through these alternate formats.
Liaise with business teams and leverage cross functional and cross franchise information
- Understand the information/ knowledge needs of the stakeholders and proactively drive analysis to deliver guidance, recommendations and insights for business decisions
- Identify opportunities with third party technology based digital health platforms for advanced data analytics â Rx data, hyper local

Work closely with Finance and SFE team
- Maintain India business performance MIS
- Strong acumen and ability to analyse performance related measures from business MIS
- Analyse and examine business wise P&L and identify revenue maximization and cost optimization opportunities
- Work closely with Finance and SFE team on creating business intelligence reports

Education Qualification
- MBA from tier-1 institute
- History of strong academic performance
Relevant Work Experience
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience Strategy Roles for larger or similar size organizations or top tier management consulting
- Experience in working across multiple projects and ability to pick up new areas quickly
- Experience of Corporate Project management in big size pharma companies
- Understanding of business performance metrics
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- High level product and therapy knowledge
