Technical Project Manager - Networking

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead our technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Linux, virtualization, and networking, combined with excellent project management skills. This role will involve overseeing complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions.

Responsibilities :

Project Management :

- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.

- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to meet defined quality standards.

- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.

Technical Leadership :

- Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams.

- Ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with technical experts to address complex technical challenges.

Stakeholder Management :

- Manage expectations and build relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, executives, and team members.

- Effectively communicate project status, progress, and outcomes.

Risk Management :

- Identify and assess project risks.

- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.

- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Management :

- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.

- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.

- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

Qualifications :

- Strong technical background in Linux operating systems, virtualization (VMware), and networking protocols.

- Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.

- Certification in RHCSA or RHCE is a plus.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate teams.

- Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is preferred.

Technical Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.

- Experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization technologies.

- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP).

- Familiarity with hardware platforms (EMC VNX, Unity Storage, HP blade servers, Brocade SAN switches, VC flex, HP switches).
