Medical Coder - Anesthesia

Assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and ASA codes and modifier as appropriate and abstract pertinent information from patient records.
Experience in researching and applying coding rules and regulations.
Ensures optimal reimbursement of all cases in compliance with CMS policies and regulations and adhere to Official coding guidelines.
Implements Physician query process when medical records is inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear to assign codes.
Work as part of a team and achieve the quality and productivity per process standards.
Observes and reports unusual patterns in clinical documentation at a facility and Physician specific levels.
Life Science graduates or BDS, BHAMS, BPT, B.Pharm/ M.Pharm
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, Human anatomy and physiology
AAPC or AHIMA certified medical coder
Minimum of 1 yrs experience of Anesthesia coding or 2-3 yrs experience in multi-specialty General surgery coding
Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment including Microsoft Apps like Outlook, Teams, Excel, word etc
Must be self-motivated, responsive and committed to communicate with supervisors
Have a positive and respectful attitude.
