We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager in our Ocean Procurement - EMR (Equipment Maintenance and Repair) & Depot category team within Maersk Procurement which is a Service Function within the Maersk Group supporting business globally. Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible and accountable for driving Depot & EMR projects globally Maersk group in close cooperation with internal stakeholders. These projects spend be from few hundred thousand to multi-million dollars in annual spend.
As an Assistant Category Manager you will get exposed to a variety of tasks, e. g. :
Support to Category head or regional procurement teams in executing procurement projects.
Mapping and analyzing data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities in complex markets
Supporting/leading standardised ways of working with help of technology
Developing and supporting regional procurement teams with repair and depot negotiations
Developing innovative models to analyze supplier offers and quantify total cost and total value of ownership
Planning and executing Category strategy for short, medium & long term
Finally, you will have significant responsibility from the start and be expected to execute and deliver on time and in line with very ambitious targets including savings.

Holds a bachelor s degree at minimum, MBA / master s degree will be an added advantage
Work experience of 4+ years from a reputed organization focusing on procurement, consulting, operations and/or project management
Top performer who excels in executing under pressure and over-delivering
Understands stakeholder management excellence and can build rapport even in challenging situations
Demonstrates strong analytical skills and preferably with good experience in excel modelling
Potential to quickly excel in our key differentiating skills: Sourcing Strategy, Negotiations, Cost Modelling and Project Management
International mind-set, willingness to travel extensively and excitement to engage with foreign stakeholders
Ambitious, Self-driven with startup spirit and independent decision-making ability
