Machine Shop Engineer (Engineering Industries)

Job Description:-
Key Responsibilities:

1. Machining Operations:
• Operate and maintain various machining equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining of components.
• Set up tools and machinery according to work instructions and safety protocols.
2. Quality Control:
• Conduct inspections and measurements of machined components using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, and CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
• Ensure all machined parts meet the specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies in machined parts.
3. Process Improvement:
• Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to optimize machining processes.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
4. Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, including ISO and ASME regulations.
5. Skills:
• Proficiency in operating CNC machines and other machining equipment.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and machining processes.
• Knowledge of quality control techniques and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
