Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize business data.
• Ensure seamless integration of Power BI with cloud-based data services and various reporting tools.
• Monitor and validate data accuracy in Power BI reports.
• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services (AAS).
• Optimize ETL processes for efficient and scalable data flow.
• Perform data modelling to ensure data consistency and quality across systems.
• Implement data transformation techniques to prepare data for visualization and analysis.
• Manage and optimize cloud operations with a focus on performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Monitor Azure pipelines and Databricks operations to ensure smooth functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Act as a technical liaison between the team and customers, providing expert guidance.
• Identify opportunities for improving data processes and utilizing data more effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in data engineering, Power BI, and cloud technologies.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for data pipelines, architectures, and reporting processes.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 4-6 years of experience in Power BI and atleast 1 -2 years of experience in data engineering skills like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Analysis Services and Python.
3. Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data transformation techniques.
4. Solid understanding of Azure cloud services and cloud computing concepts.
5. Advanced knowledge of SQL queries.
6. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
