Senior Analyst / Lead Analyst SOC L2

What You Will Do:
• Splunk Expertise:
o Harness Splunk to analyse, correlate, and visualize security data.
o Develop and maintain Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts to detect and respond to security
incidents.
o Optimize Splunk performance and configurations for maximum efficiency.
• Security Operations Centre (SOC):
o Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various sources.
o Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures and remediation
actions.
• Network Security:
o Possess a strong understanding of network protocols, vulnerabilities, and security best
practices.
o Analyze network traffic and identify anomalies or potential security threats.
o Contribute to the development and implementation of network security policies.
• Incident Response:
o Participate in incident response activities, including documentation and post-incident analysis.
o Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during security incidents.
What You Need To Have:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role with a focus on Splunk and SOC.
• Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Power User) are highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with security incident response and familiarity with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS).
• Proficiency in Splunk search language (SPL) and query optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.
