DESIGN ENGINEER

Qualification:
-Degree in engineering from a reputed university
in India or abroad with focus on construction
(wood, metal, plastic)
Experience:
-8-10+ years of experience in Retail Industry Design Drawings
Languages:
-Fluent in English Hindi

Desired skills

Associate degree in drafting technology or Bachelor s Degree preferred.

Sound material and manufacturing knowledge of some of the required
materials
Materials: Wood, metal, plastic (e.g. PMMA, polystyrene, PP, PET, PVC),
glass
Knowledge of fittings, electrical and non-electrical hardware
Manufacturing techniques: e.g. sawing, cutting, lasering, punching, drilling,
edging, milling, deep drawing, injection moulding, 3D printing, printing,
powder coating, painting, extrusion etc.
At least 5 years of practical experience in the construction of individual
furniture or shopfitting solutions ideally for the point of sale
Proven track record in developing furniture solutions for international
brands-
At least 2 years experience working with teams from Germany; plus
desirable experience with teams from the UK, China, USA-
Very good 3D CAD knowledge, Solid Works mandatory
Structured way of working and team and results-oriented approach
Understanding of the need to meet deadlines, quality and cost targets is
mandatory
Experience in digital collaboration with international and time-shifted teams
daily digital exchange is mandatory
Very good knowledge of English; initial knowledge of German desirable
Good digital presentation and communication skills
Occasional willingness to travel (~15% pa)
Good MS Office skills

Assist with estimating and presentation of quotes to clients in conjunction with design team.
Creating 3D models from wood-based materials, metal, plastics and glass.
