Project description

We've been engaged by a large Australian financial institution to provide resources to their upcoming Murex Binary Upgrade project.
This Bank is considering moving from Current Murex version 42 to latest higher version ( V56 or 58) to include changes Majorly impacting the Collateral / Market Risk / Credit Risk/ Ops and settlement functionalities and modules.
There are also some impacts in MX technical areas , Reporting and EODs.
We require an experienced Murex Environment Manager as a part of this upgrade project

Responsibilities

Manage Mx 3.1 environments/configurations across DEV and UAT streams

Environment preparation, refresh, rebuild, upkeep, maintenance, and upgrade activities.

Troubleshooting and resolution of Murex environment-specific issues including Infrastructure related issues at the OS/DB level

Manage enhancements to build / packaging scripts

Automation of regular/periodic environments specific tasks through Jenkins

Develop / Enhance scripts using Unix/Perl for requirements across market data sync and related activities.

Automation of Murex package deployments to SIT/UAT environments through a combination of Jenkins and Unix/Perl scripts.

Control-M jobs Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Management

Manage Performance Testing test cases with given infrastructure

Capacity management, Future forecasting of hardware and environments

Skills

Must have

Overall 6 to 8+ years of experience in Murex Environment Management

Strong Murex environment management experience both with mx3.1

Experience deploying and managing Murex environments

Excellent configuration management skills

DevOps experience using Jenkins and Cloud

Experience working on Continuous Integration processes

Good knowledge of various Murex modules

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Proficient with Murex EOD architecture, key services and end-to-end process

Good understanding of murex log structure & artefact location

Datamart Dynamic tables/Feeders/batch Configuration, scanner templates, processing script definition

Knowledge of Scheduling tools such as control M, Autosys

Understanding and debugging of bash, ant, Python/Perl scripts on LINUX RHEL.

Knowledge of DB fundamentals such as query plan, SQL, indexing

Knowledge of Release/Change Management workflow using GIT, Jenkins
