Packaging Trainee

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Packaging: Ensure that all food items are packaged according to standard operating procedures, maintaining food quality, temperature, and presentation for delivery.
• Labeling & Organization: Properly label each package with the correct order details (customer name, delivery address, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an organized packaging station by keeping packaging materials (boxes, bags, containers, labels, etc.) stocked and ready for use.
• Quality Control: Inspect food items before packing to ensure they meet the kitchens standards for quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Preparation for Dispatch: Ensure that completed orders are promptly handed over to the delivery team, ensuring the correct packaging is dispatched with the right order.
• Work with Delivery Team: Collaborate with the kitchen and delivery teams to ensure seamless coordination and fast processing of orders.
• Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring that packaging processes are sanitary and compliant with health regulations.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the packaging station clean and organized, including wiping down surfaces and handling packaging materials responsibly.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a packaging or food-related role in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, especially during peak hours.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality packaging and order accuracy.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to keep track of multiple orders at once.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Comfortable working with delivery platforms and tracking order details.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
