Lead Data Scientist-Pricing & Promotion Analytics

Job Responsibilities:

• 3+ years experience in data science and consulting (Retail industry preferred)
• Ability to understand the problem statement and implement data science solutions & techniques independently
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Research, design, and develop applicable statistical and machine learning approaches for specific to Pricing & Promotion problems.
• Lead end-to-end price optimization and promotion effectiveness projects
• Develop price elasticity models and analyse competitive price positioning
• Design and analyse A/B/Design of experiments for price changes and promotional offers
• Build promotional response models to predict lift and cannibalization effects
• Create markdown optimization strategies for seasonal and clearance items
• Analyse historical promotion performance to suggest strategies and plans
• Design promotional mix models to optimize campaign spending
• Familiar with pricing and promotion optimization frameworks
• Experienced in building production ready end-to-end analytics frameworks

Hands on Experience Required: Tools/Languages: - 

Must-have 

• Python Expert Level
• SQL - Expert Level
• PySpark Intermediate Level
• Databricks Intermediate Level
• JIRA or similar tool – Beginner/Intermediate Level

Good to have: - 

• Knowledge of any visualization tool 
• Understanding of cloud infra and architecture
• Experience in Retail domain
• Knowledge of model monitoring and maintenance
• Python based web frameworks (Steamlit, Flask, Dash Django etc.)
