Assistant Manager - Accounts (Chartered Accountant)

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance & Filing:
• Prepare and file direct and indirect tax returns, including GST, Income Tax, and TDS.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and support the management in tax planning initiatives.
• Accounts & Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Reconcile tax-related accounts, including VAT/GST, TDS, and income tax payable/receivable.
• Tax Audits & Documentation:
• Support in the preparation of documentation for tax audits and assessments.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to facilitate audits and resolve any queries.
• Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
• Tax Planning & Advisory:
• Provide assistance with tax planning, including identifying opportunities for tax savings and compliance optimization.
• Advise on the tax impact of business decisions, corporate structures, and transactions.
• Regulatory Updates:
• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure timely implementation within the company.
• Assist in preparing internal reports on regulatory changes, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for the business.
• General Finance Support:
• Assist the team with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Provide support for various accounting functions such as payroll, expense reporting, and cash flow management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Freshly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)

• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
