About the Team

Transfer Order Management team is part of Move Services area within IT Supply Chain. This team is responsible for and is currently building an enterprise domain for managing any mid-mile movements within Lowes network. This team is co-located across both US and SSC-B locations and works seamlessly using Agile methodology to deliver results for our business partners.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to provide consultation and technical direction on translating business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs. This includes facilitating the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers code modules, stable application systems, and integrated enterprise software solutions within various computing environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Lead Software Engineer , you will be extremely knowledgeable around modern software design and development. You will demonstrate expertise around open systems tech stack. You are expected to build and grow the skill sets of junior engineers.

You will also partner with SEMs/PMs to lay out Product and Technology roadmap.

You will collaborate with product stake holders to build secure, reliable and scalable software solutions

You will help to maintain a high standard in coding and testing through effective code review and leveraging the automated code scanning tools

You will focus on test automation and in-sprint automation by building automation test frameworks

You will maintain the SLA/SLOs for product and triage high priority issues and outages as they arise

Resolves complex problems spanning multiple applications to drive improvements across portfolios; leads projects with significant business implications and participates in planning, prioritization and estimates.

Leads development of integrated business and/or enterprise application to ensure solution is resilient, scalable, and maintainable and meets architectural standards.
Builds awareness and product alignment to enterprise recommended frameworks, tools, technologies, engineering platforms, and architectural design processes.
Drives operational excellence through disaster recovery and capacity planning, performance, regression and chaos testing, observability alerts and dashboards, and reliability processes and recovery runbooks.
Deconstructs complex problems into simple solutions that can evolve over time.
Educates others on engineering standards and best practices, including code quality analysis, test coverage, security principles (authentication and authorization protocols), and Agile processes.
Mentors and advises others by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of enterprise and industry technologies, tools, methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices.
Continuously explores and recommends new enterprise software components and technologies.
Continuously works to simplify solutions, optimize processes, remove bottlenecks, and resolve escalated issues.

Primary Skills:

• Java, Springboot, Micronaut, NodeJS

• Proficient in data modelling and writing SQL query against Relational and NOSQL DB (Postgres, MongoDb)

• Expert in design principles and patterns, low-level to high-level software design and building full stack application by applying modern architecture

• CI/CD toolchain like Git, Jenkins, Sonar

• Proficient in Test automation framework like, Cucumber, Rest assured, Soapui, TestNG.

• Expertise in Microservices architecture, building and running APIs on a Kubernetes platform (cloud/on-prem PaaS)

• Proficient building event-driven systems using Kafka

• Experience in a front-end technology and framework - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS

Required Qualifications:
7 years of experience in software development or related field
6 years of experience in any of the following: software engineering competencies frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware (microservices and APIs), database technologies, DevOps
6 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development lifecycles through iterative agile development
Bachelors degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in computer science, CIS, or related field
6 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment, developing and implementing business systems within an organization, and working with source code control systems
6 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library framework, defect or incident tracking software, web services, and application and integration middleware
6 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
6 years of experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware, database technologies, DevOps
4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
