We have a suitable opportunity in the Finance function for the position of Business Unit Controller. In this role, you will responsible for driving the P&L for one of the divisions of L'Oral India. The ideal candidate should have 8-12 years of professional experience with FMCG/ Beauty/ eCommerce. The location of the job will be Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of budget and trends
- Serve as Business Partner to division head on key business aspects
- Understand business requirements and develop and interpret policies and procedures in relation to organizational priorities
- Engage with governance, risk and controls
- Ensure closure of control gaps
- Work together with the business to ensure predictable financial business
- Review financial information, key financial ratios
- Conduct root-cause analysis and support management team with possible actions
- Work with cross-functional leadership teams to drive alignment on segment business goals
-Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesising relevant data, leading analysis, and developing final recommendations
- Oversee people development agenda including promoting skill building, setting forward thinking objectives, collaborating across functions, and providing opportunities and coaching on effective business partnering.
- Identifying value-creation opportunities and driving them for their realization
- Working with the Division Director to strategies for the business
- Negotiate the commercial terms with select clients
Key Deliverables:
- Delivery of key financials including P&L
- Ensuring gross margin delivery and commercial budgets All processes are followed.
- Making sure completion of any group internal control audit in a satisfactory manner.
- Delivery of all channels P&L.
- Timely monthly closings and reporting.
- Preparation of P&L of all channels along with Gross Margins and full analysis of all the drivers on monthly basis and during trends and budgets.

Key Competencies:
- Must be solution oriented and display end to end understanding

- Should be on top of their business on a day-to-day basis in order to take right decisions timely.
- Must be able to manage team of controllers of different channels/brands
- Must have complete understanding of Indian FMCG commercial working environment.

Education:
- Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/ MBA (Finance) with 8-12 years' experience. FMCG background preferred
