Job Description
- Hands on Senior DevOps Engineer with experience of working within high performance development teams
- Experience implementing Amazon well architected frameworks, serverless solutions and improving existing platforms using AWS technologies with Agile delivery methods
- Experience of developing solutions with Python 3
- Experience working in the Data domain, covering the full data pipeline from ingestion, mastering, management and consumption/distribution of large datasets
- Financial Services expertise preferred working
- Experience with No-SQL and Relational databases
- Education & Work experience:
- 5+ years of DevOps engineer experience within the Financial Services and Data domains
- Bachelor s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or IT related field or equivalent IT related experience.
- IT Skills
- Deep experience of DevOps solutions and practises
- Implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform, usage of CI/CD pipelines like GitLab for efficient and automated test and deployment processes
- Familiar with AWS solutions incl. IAM, Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, RDS, (e.g. DynamoDB, Aurora Postgres), SQS, API Gateway, Athena
- Good experience of Python
- Familiar with container technologies
- Soft Skills
- An enthusiastic advocate of high-quality solutions
- Strong communication and documentation skills
