Job Description

Role Profile

We are looking for multifaceted and forward-looking Oracle Fusion Incident/Problem/Change/Release Analyst Lead to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling OCI environments Incident/Problem/Change/Release Management, as well as coordinating OCI support and Owner of the IT Change & Releases in agile Sprint. The candidate must have full understanding the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioural characteristics of large-scale implementation of Cloud Fusion.

As an Oracle IT Change and Release Management Analyst, will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient implementation of changes within our Oracle-based IT systems. You will work closely with various collaborators to handle the entire change lifecycle, from request to deployment, ensuring compliance with established processes and minimizing risks.

Background

LSEG have embarked on a Finance Transformation programme, to deliver our Finance Vision and transform the way we work to bring value and deliver sustainable growth for the business. The Programme is driving efficiencies and maximising benefits for LSEG by moving to a single cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning and Performance Management (Oracle Fusion/EPM/EDM).

As an Oracle Fusion Incident/Problem/Change/Release Analyst Lead will be responsible for:

Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion Application Incident and Problem Management involves several key responsibilities and processes to ensure the smooth operation and quick resolution of issues within the cloud environment.

  • Incident Management:
  • Identification and Logging: Detect and log incidents, ensuring all relevant details are collected.
  • Classification and Prioritization: Classify incidents based on vitality and impact and prioritize them accordingly.
  • Investigation and Diagnosis: Analyze incidents to resolve root cause and identify potential solutions.
  • Resolution and Recovery: Implement solutions to resolve incidents and restore normal service operations as quickly as possible.
  • Closure and Documentation: Ensure incidents are properly closed and documented, including lessons learned and any follow-up actions.
  • Problem Management:
  • Problem Identification: Identify recurring incidents and potential problems through trend analysis and proactive monitoring.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to resolve underlying causes of problems.
  • Solution Implementation: Develop and implement solutions to prevent the recurrence of problems.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all problem management activities and report on the status and outcomes of problem resolution efforts.
  • Change Management:
  • Coordinate and own the entire change lifecycle, including change request submission, assessment, authorization, and implementation.
  • Ensure alignment to established IT change management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses for proposed changes.
  • Facilitate change review boards and decision-making processes.
  • Release Management:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate release activities across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Lead release dependencies and dependencies between changes.
  • Lead all aspects of release deployment and post-deployment activities.
  • Configuration Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of configuration items and their attributes.
  • Lead configuration changes and ensure that they are implemented and tracked correctly.
  • Perform regular configuration audits to verify compliance with standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on change and release activities, including metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • ITIL Framework: Alignment to ITIL standard processes for incident and problem management.
  • Regularly review and improve incident and problem management processes based on feedback and lessons learned.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion/EBS Applications, EDMCS, EPM, ORMBCS, OICS and related technologies.
  • Strong Analytical Skills for problem-solving abilities and experience with root cause analysis techniques in Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP Modules with excellent verbal and written communication soft skills to effectively interact with collaborators and document incidents and problems.
  • Strong knowledge in Incident/Problem/Change/Release tools such as Service Now, JIRA & Asana.
  • Expertise in IT Change Releases life Cycle Management and DevOps & Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of working with Oracle Support, consulting teams and understanding of the Oracle Cloud SaaS/PaaS process that is involved dealing with Oracle SR s.
  • Standout colleague, able to work with various levels in the organization across multiple time zones.

Experience:

  • Experience in Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion Applications Implementation/Release Management and leading end to end operations for change control boards.
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud Fusion Incident & Problem of Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion/EBS Applications, EDMCS, EPM, ORMBCS, OICS and related technologies.
  • Experience working within a Finance Operations, preferably with large Financial Services Organisation.
  • Experience in driving high availability, resiliency, and scalability of a global Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion Applications landscape delivering metrics-driven continuous improvements.
  • Ability to work with multi-functional Directors and global leads.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
