The Charge Entry Specialist is crucial to our billing operations, ensuring accurate entry of medical charges into our system. This role directly impacts our revenue cycle, supporting effective healthcare delivery. Candidates with 1-3 years in healthcare billing, especially in the US or Canada, are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing Data Entry: Enter billing information accurately and promptly.
Verification: Review patient details, insurance, and service codes to ensure accuracy.
Collaboration: Work with coders, billing teams, and providers to resolve charge entry issues.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on US and Canada billing regulations.
Audits: Conduct billing entry checks to ensure compliance.
Discrepancy Resolution: Help address and reduce billing issues and denials.
Reporting: Generate billing activity reports for management insights.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1-3 years in medical billing or charge entry, ideally with knowledge of US and Canada healthcare processes.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of healthcare billing software, EMR systems, ICD-10, and CPT codes.
Attention to Detail: Strong data entry skills, with a focus on accuracy.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
Education: Minimum Graduation required; a certification in medical billing is a plus.
