Company Overview

we are seeking seasoned legal professionals to join our in-house Legal Contract Drafting & Negotiations team. This team plays a crucial role in managing and negotiating complex contracts essential to our operational success and strategic growth.

Role Overview

The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide array of contracts, including procurement, airport approvals, customized sales, lease contracts, and template-based agreements. The ideal candidate will possess an LLB degree and have an extensive background90% of their experience dedicated to contract drafting and negotiations. They will provide legal support across various domains including engine procurement contracts and global contracts, ensuring compliance with international legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Drafting & Negotiations:
• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts related to procurement of engines, airport approvals, sales, lease, and customized legal agreements.
• Ensure that all contracts align with global legal frameworks and industry best practices.
• Legal Analysis & Compliance:
• Analyze contractual risks and provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry standards, and international law to advise on multi-jurisdictional contract requirements.
• Collaboration & Coordination:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, and finance to streamline contract processes.
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and industry experts when necessary to ensure high standards of legal compliance.
• Process Improvement:
• Develop and maintain template-based contracts while also tailoring bespoke agreements to meet specific business needs.
• Implement efficient contract management practices that support the teams objectives and compliance requirements.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship:
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior legal staff, ensuring that best practices in contract drafting and negotiations are maintained.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Background:
• Must possess an LLB degree from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience:
• A minimum of 14 to 23 years of direct experience in legal contract drafting and negotiations.
• Demonstrated expertise with at least 90% of career experience dedicated to contract-related roles, particularly involving high-stakes contracts such as engine procurement, airport approvals, and complex sales or lease agreements.
• Industry & Company Background:
• Preferred candidates should have direct experience working with leading companies such as Accenture, Tata, Teleperformance, Concentrix, power grid companies, Nayara, Vedanta, or Reliance.
• Candidates must have been engaged directly with these companies or equivalent reputed organizations; experience via third-party Legal Process Outsourcing firms will not be considered.
• Age Criteria:
• Applicants should not exceed 45 years of age.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of both domestic and international legal principles, enabling effective handling of global contracts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Proven ability to customize standard contract templates to suit dynamic business requirements.
