Job Description

This role will be responsible for driving sales growth, acquiring new customers, and developing business opportunities within the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with specific experience in freight forwarding services, including air freight, sea freight, CHA (Customs House Agent), and export-import logistics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition & Business Development: Identify, acquire, and develop new customers in the local market. Establish and nurture relationships with potential V-A and B customers, converting them into long-term clients.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Follow the Sales Manual to ensure effective business development processes and strategies are in place. Promote the companys strengths and services, particularly in Air Freight and Ocean Freight, within the target market.
  • Revenue Generation: Take full responsibility for business and revenue generation across all company services, including CHA, Air Freight, and Sea Freight. Drive sales efforts to meet and exceed targets.
  • Customer Requirement Analysis: Understand customer needs, negotiate terms, prepare quotations, and finalize contracts to ensure a smooth and successful sales process.
  • Sales Process Management: Handle the entire sales process, from identifying prospects and scheduling appointments, to making initial calls, closing deals, and providing ongoing customer support and retention.
  • Customer Retention & Service: Build strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction. Handle customer concerns and queries proactively.
  • Payment Follow-ups & Collections: Ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on outstanding dues to maintain smooth financial operations.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with the office, warehouse, and CHA teams to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery. Coordinate and communicate effectively to meet customer needs.
  • Achievement of Targets: Meet or exceed defined sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth for the business.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure profitable contracts and agreements.
  • A go-getter attitude with a strong drive to achieve sales targets and business goals.
  • In-depth experience in freight forwarding sales and a solid understanding of international logistics, export-import processes, and associated services.

Desired Profile:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a freight forwarding company with a focus on sales and business development.
  • Knowledge: Experience in international marketing, export-import logistics, and the freight forwarding industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction.
