Job Responsiblities:
- Lead development and execution of the Logistics plan for the Branch
- Drive key processes of route planning, fleet management and resource allocation in compliance with Regional guidelines
- Understand branch objectives and develop annual, quarterly and monthly logistics plan to develop infrastructure and capabilities
- Support Regional Supply Chain Manager, Regional Support - Logistics and Branch Manager in determining the logistics budget and obtaining approval on the same
- Determine infrastructural requirements for the Branch and work closely with Regional Support - Logistics to build requisite warehousing and fleet capabilities
- Represent Logistics function in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting and provide inputs on Logistics and warehousing capacity
- Prepare logistics plan on monthly, weekly or daily basis to drive timely order fulfilment by aligning sales and production plan
- Lead route planning, monitor development and adherence to Logistics schedule across the branch so as to drive optimum utilization of fleet and order fulfilment rates
- Schedule fleet on a daily basis; coordinate closely with Sales & Production teams to ensure timely order fulfilment
- Drive adherence to guidelines, SOPs, loading norms and key metrics for Logistics & Warehousing operations including inventory norms, vendor empanelment defined by Regional Support - Logistics
- Manage any contingencies or deviations from planned Logistics schedule through effective coordination with Branch-level Sales and Production teams
- Understand expectations and seek feedback from critical channel partners on an on-going basis; take corrective action in case of any gaps
- Understand the regulatory guidelines governing transfer of goods within and across state borders, and monitor adherence to the same across operations
