Automation Engineer - API Testing (5-6 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for APIs using Python.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Identify and analyze system defects and work with development teams to resolve issues.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our automation framework.

- Participate in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in Python programming language.

- In-depth knowledge of API testing tools and frameworks, such as REST Assured, Karate, and Postman.

- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

- Solid understanding of HTTP protocols, JSON, and XML.

- Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver and Appium.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.

- Strong understanding of banking domain concepts and processes.

- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into test cases.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter.

- Experience with security testing tools and techniques.
