Chief Financial Officer

Job Responsibilities: -

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Consolidate and prepare accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) for the entire hospital chain on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances from budget, and potential areas for cost optimization.
• Develop and present insightful management reports to senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, expenses, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the budgeting process for each hospital within the chain, including revenue projections, expense planning, and capital expenditure forecasting.
• Monitor budget performance against actual results, identifying and addressing variances.
• Regularly update and refine financial forecasts based on market trends, regulatory changes, and operational insights.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure data integrity, and prevent fraud.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including billing codes, reimbursement guidelines, and HIPAA privacy standards.
• Oversee the audit process, collaborating with external auditors to address any findings and maintain compliance.

Acquisitions :

• Responsible for new Acquisitions - conducting thorough financial due diligence, evaluating the target company's financial health, determining the acquisition price, structuring the deal, managing risk, and overseeing the post-acquisition integration process, essentially ensuring the financial viability and strategic alignment of the new acquisition with the acquiring company

Operational Finance Support:

• Partner with hospital administrators and clinical leaders to analyze financial performance at the individual hospital level, identifying areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making regarding new services, facility expansions, and capital investments.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) to optimize cash flow.

Team Management and Development:

• Lead a team of finance professionals across multiple hospital locations, including accounting managers, financial analysts, and billing specialists.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

Chartered Accountancy (CA) or equivalent professional qualification:

Essential for the role, demonstrating strong accounting and financial management expertise

Experience:

Hospital Experience is a must.

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional designation preferred
• Extensive experience in healthcare finance, including knowledge of billing codes, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory landscape
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization
• Proficiency in financial management software and reporting tools.
