Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Master Trainer for our Geriatric Caregiver / General Duty Assistant program. The successful candidate will conduct both theory and practical sessions based on the established curriculum, provide mentorship to trainees, and ensure they gain hands-on experience during training. Additionally, the trainer will offer career counseling to trainees, helping them navigate their professional work environment.

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct engaging theory and practical training sessions for Geriatric Caregiver / General Duty Assistant trainees within the context of geriatric care.
• Mentor trainees during practical training to ensure they acquire essential hands-on skills relevant to elderly care.
• Counsel trainees on career opportunities and professional conduct in the geriatric healthcare environment.
• Collaborate with training staff to enhance the training curriculum based on industry needs and best practices in geriatric care.
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Master Trainer: GNM with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or B.Sc. (Nursing) with at least 2 years of teaching or geriatric care experience.
• Strong knowledge of general duty assistant responsibilities, particularly in geriatric care settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Teaching Skills: Ability to effectively convey complex concepts related to geriatric care in an understandable manner.
• Mentorship: Experience in guiding and supporting trainees in their professional development within the healthcare sector.
• Healthcare Knowledge: In-depth understanding of geriatric care practices and the roles of general duty assistants.

• Patience and Empathy: Ability to connect with trainees and understand their individual learning needs, especially in sensitive areas of elder care.
• Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple training sessions and administrative tasks efficiently.
