About the Role:.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Manager Accounts Payable to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting, hands-on experience in accounts payable, inventory management, and statutory audits, along with strong leadership skills to manage a small team.
Prior experience working in a startup environment is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Management:
- Oversee and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during payment processes.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to monitor and manage inventory levels.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status and variances.
Statutory Audits:
- Support statutory audits by preparing and organizing financial records.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors to address queries and provide necessary documentation.
Team Management:
- Lead and manage a small team (1-2 members) effectively.
- Delegate tasks, monitor team performance, and provide training and mentorship as needed.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:.
Education:.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or higher. Non-CA, CA Inter, or Semi-qualified CAs preferred.
Experience:.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable, inventory management, and statutory audits.
- Prior experience in a startup environment is highly desirable.
Skills:.
- Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to effectively lead and manage a small team.
