SAS - IFRS 17 Consultant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAS IFRS 17 Consultant to support the implementation, customization, and management of IFRS 17 solutions. The role involves working closely with clients to design and deploy financial reporting and compliance frameworks using SAS technologies. This role requires strong domain knowledge of financial reporting standards, proficiency in SAS tools, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand IFRS 17 requirements and design appropriate solutions.
Develop and customize SAS solutions for IFRS 17 calculations, reporting, and disclosures.
Configure and optimize SAS IFRS 17 Solution components, including the Calculation Engine and Reporting Framework.
Perform data integration and preparation using SAS DI Studio and SAS Base Programming.
Create reports and dashboards using SAS Visual Analytics (VA) or SAS Enterprise Guide (EG).
Manage and monitor SAS environments, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Provide training and support to users for IFRS 17 processes and SAS tools.
Ensure compliance with IFRS 17 standards and maintain detailed documentation of implemented solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including actuarial and finance departments, to meet project goals.
Conduct regular testing, validation, and troubleshooting of IFRS 17 models and workflows.

Key skills & Qualifications:
5 to 10 years of working experience with SAS Base, SAS Macros, SAS DI Studio, SAS EG, and SAS VA along with IFRS 17 implementation
In-depth understanding of IFRS 17 Standards and their application in financial reporting.
Hands-on experience with SAS IFRS 17 Solution or similar financial reporting tools.
Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on financial data.
Knowledge of actuarial models and their integration with IFRS 17 frameworks is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of IFRS 9 and other financial reporting standards.
Experience with SAS Viya and its advanced analytics capabilities.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) for SAS deployment.
