Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical MIS Executive to join our team in the Food & Beverage sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and managing Management Information Systems (MIS) reports, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to support business decision-making. The role involves working closely with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance metrics, financial data, and operational insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Analysis:
    • Collect and consolidate data from various departments (Sales, Operations, Finance, Inventory, etc.) to generate accurate MIS reports.
    • Analyze data trends, performance metrics, and financial reports to provide actionable insights.
    • Assist management in understanding operational and financial performance through comprehensive reporting.
  • Reporting & Dashboards:
    • Prepare and maintain regular MIS reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, costs, inventory, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Develop interactive dashboards and visual reports to present data in an easily understandable format.
    • Track performance metrics like revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), food and beverage margins, and profitability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support:
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing historical data, insights, and analysis.
    • Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Inventory & Cost Management:
    • Track inventory levels and analyze consumption patterns, providing insights to control wastage and optimize stock levels.
    • Work closely with the operations team to understand food cost, production cost, and other operational expenses.
    • Ensure accuracy of the cost data in the MIS system, helping identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Performance Tracking:
    • Monitor and analyze key financial and operational metrics, including sales trends, food cost, labor cost, gross margin, etc.
    • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports for senior management.
    • Create and present ad-hoc reports to address specific business needs.
  • Support for Decision-Making:
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to help management make informed business decisions.
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify key business areas that require improvements based on data insights.
  • System Management & Data Integrity:
    • Ensure that the MIS system and reports are updated accurately and regularly.
    • Maintain data integrity across various systems and ensure timely and accurate data input.
    • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of the data entered into MIS systems.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Suggest and implement improvements to the existing MIS processes to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with IT or software vendors to integrate MIS reporting tools with other systems.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects:
    • Support any special projects related to business intelligence, market analysis, and system automation.
    • Assist in integrating new data sources into MIS for a more comprehensive view of operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications in data analysis or MIS reporting are a plus (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in MIS, data analysis, or business reporting, preferably in the F&B, retail, or hospitality sector.
    • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Familiarity with financial and operational reports specific to the F&B industry is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner.
    • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
